The Pilgrim Holiness Church of NY, Inc. is a Christian denomination that emerged from the holiness movement in the late 19th century. It split from the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1897 under the leadership of Martin Wells Knapp, who founded the International Holiness Union and Prayer League.
The denomination changed its name several times until it became the Pilgrim Holiness Church in 1922. In 1968, the majority of the Pilgrim Holiness Church merged with the Wesleyan Methodist Church to form the Wesleyan Church. However, some groups of Pilgrim Holiness churches remained independent and aligned themselves with the conservative holiness movement.
Today, the Pilgrim Holiness Church of NY, Inc. has 37 churches in the United States and Canada, and 19 churches in Haiti and Brazil. Its vision is “A Church Where Everybody is Somebody and Christ is All”. Its mission is to glorify God, edify the saints, and evangelize the world.
The denomination has a strong emphasis on personal and social holiness, biblical authority, and evangelistic outreach. It offers various services and programs, such as Sunday school, worship service, Bible study, prayer meeting, choir, youth ministry, and women’s ministry. It welcomes people from all walks of life and backgrounds to join them in worship and fellowship.
We invite you to join us and experience the joy of worship, the warmth of fellowship, and the spiritual growth that comes from connecting with God and each other.
